"Maddy/Yannis, may I take this opportunity to thank you both for all the help you gave us during our holiday over the last two weeks. We had a fantastic time, you are very lucky people to live in such a beautiful place.
You both have the patience of saints and nothing seems to phase you, you both seem very happy together. Your personal one to one contact wins every time over the other holiday companies who just treat you as a number. This was special for us and made the holiday special.
Let's hope your energy keeps the conservation projects going and long may you be able to keep the village unspoilt and away from heavy development. We are looking at booking for next year already."

"When I booked to come and stay at Yannis-Marina Studios at Gerakas, I was hoping it would be a quiet and relaxing holiday, in a peaceful setting. I read on the website that is was a pleasurable place to stay in peaceful and relaxing surroundings.
When my husband and I arrived, it exceeded all of our expectations. The accommodation was beautifully clean and welcoming. When Yannis picked us up from the airport and delivered us to the Studio, we were just so thrilled. We could not believe that a place so beautiful could be so peaceful and tranquil. The setting, amongst the olive groves, with beautiful views of the sea, and the surrounding hills was just wonderful. We took great delight in watching the many turkeys, chickens, geese, goat, rabbits, sheep and pigs each time we walked to the beach, or to the little rocky cove that was so private and peaceful.
We spent many happy hours just walking around the surrounding countryside, or relaxing on the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the clear waters, and watching the many fish that were swimming amongst us and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate that we were able to witness the tiny little turtles making their way out to the big wide world under the sea.
All in all, when it came to the end of our two weeks stay, we really did not want to leave. Normally we are ready to come back to our own home, but everyone had been so friendly and welcoming to us during our stay, that we felt as though we wanted to just stay on for more.
We would consider it a great honour if you would allow us to book to come back again. We consider Gerakas to be our 'Heaven on Earth'. May you continue to be able to keep it all just as it is, totally unspoiled and beautiful, and away from the hands of the developers. We have some wonderful memories to keep us going until our next visit, which hopefully will not be too long away.

"We’ve been home now for nearly 2 weeks and we can’t help reminiscing about the wonderful time we had in Gerakas Village. It was truly the best holiday we have ever experienced (and we’d had quite a few): tranquil; peaceful; unspoilt; beautiful scenery; wonderful food and the most welcoming and friendly people we have ever encountered - we felt we were leaving family behind when we left!
We highly recommend this holiday to those who enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of popular tourist resorts and want to experience the Greek culture. It’s left up to you to do exactly what you want to do, but if you need help there are some great trips that can be arranged for you. One we highly advocate is the Catamaran trip that takes up most of the day, visiting some of the most amazing caves and coves with beautiful crystal clear blue waters and secluded beaches - and if you’re lucky you might get to see a turtle – we did! What you’ll also find so good about it is that the maximum capacity on the Catamaran is 15, so you’re not packed in like sardines (as were some of the other boats we met that day).
Our favourite local tavernas we visited over our two-week holiday were Gerakas, Triodi and Galini. But there are lots to choose from, as you’ll see in the Welcome Pack provided. There is also a great shop in the village down towards the beach, run by a lovely couple who are so friendly and helpful. You can get everything there, not just your basic provisions. We certainly intend visiting again in the near future. We’ve fallen in love with Gerakas!"
